Dear Sir

SUIT 25712013 ("Suit")
YAN JUN v. ATTORNEY-GENERAL OF SINGAPORE

We refer to your emails dated 3 November 2015 and 25 November 2015 (your "Emails") copied to the Attorney-General's Chambers ("AGC"), and various other organisations.

2. Please note that your current residential address should be stated In your correspondence to AGC.

3. In your Emails, you have alleged that the Supreme Court was biased in favour of the Government when it heard the Suit. These allegations are spurious. As you are aware:

(1)All your claims in the Suit, except your claim for false imprisonment, were struck out by Assistant Registrar Tan Zhengxian Jordan (the "AR") on 3 July 2013. The AR's decision was upheld by the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

(2)While your claim for false imprisonment was not struck out, you refused to comply with the orders made by the AR against you, and further failed to attend numerous pre-trial conferences and hearings in respect of your Suit. As a result, Senior Assistant Registrar Christopher Tan ("the SAR") issued an Unless Order ("Unless Order") requiring you to attend a Pre-Trial Conference on 9 July 2015, failing which your Suit would be dismissed.

(3)After you were served with the Unless Order (which clearly stated the consequences of non-compliance), you wrote to the Supreme Court indicating your refusal to comply with the Unless Order. Thus, your Suit was dismissed by the SAR.

5. Your Suit was therefore dismissed because of your failure to comply with the Unless Order, and not due to any bias on the part of the Supreme Court in favour of the Government. You did not appeal against the decision of the SAR to dismiss your Suit.

6. TAKE NOTICE that your unfounded allegations of bias on the part of the Supreme Court are in contempt of court and you are hereby warned that if you continue to make these allegations, contempt proceedings can be brought against you. You are therefore advised to desist from making such allegations. You may wish to seek independent legal advice in relation to the contents of this letter.
