MA 9128/2018/01 & 9146/2018/01 Yan Jun v PP

1.      I refer to the above two appeals and my request made in January this year for the transcript of the recording of a hearing.

 

2.      I would like to apply for the downloading of the Records of Appeal of the two appeals. Please let me know when I can go to the court for it.  

 

3.      On January 3 this year (see email below), I applied for the transcript of the recording of the hearing conducted on  April 28, 2016 regarding theofficial psychiatric diagnosis on my mental state made by Dr. Kenneth Koh at the IMH.  I already submitted Form 26 and paid $20 in the State Courts around January 3 but I haven’t received any  news from the court.

 

4.      It is stated in Form 26 that “Once the request has been approved and the applicant has been informed on the availability of the requested document(s) and the cost (where applicable), the said documents will be available for collection for a period of 21 days. Any document(s) not collected within the stipulated period will be destroyed and a fresh request must be submitted thereafter if the applicant still requires the document(s).”

 

5.      My question is whether my request was proved and whether I ought to apply again for this document. I was arrested on Feb 22 this year for unlawful assembly at Raffles Place MRT station so was unable to check with the court about my request.

1.      I refer to the two appeals set out above.

 

2.      On 3 August 2016, Ms. Mok-Goh Kit Soon at the State Court issued a letter to me by AR Registered Post (See the attached file) with regard to the Appeal 9131/2016/01.

 

3.      In that letter, the court stated at Para 3 that “In the event you require a copy of the Record of Appeal in PDF format, please apply in writing and address it to the undersigned along with a blank CD-ROM.”

 

4.      Now I apply for the Record of Appeal in PDF format for both appeals mentioned above. Please let me know how many blank CD-ROMs I ought to bring along, if my application is approved. If my application is rejected, please let me know the reason for the rejection.
